The human body is a wonderfully designed device that has been developed, evolved and refined over thousands of years into the condition that we share today. But, still retained many of its original features that were sort of built-in safety mechanisms, and fat storage is an example of such a reversal. Here in this article we will look at ways we can train our bodies to burn stored fat, but before doing so, we will explore the concept of body fat a little more.
Our bodies contain two basic types of fats, essential fats and stored fat. Essential fats speak pretty well for themselves, their importance is in what are called "essential", and in simple terms, we have to have this type of fat for our body to work at optimal levels.
The stored fat however, is a quite different proposal, and as already stated above, is a throwback to the days when food was not as plentiful as it is today, when acting as our "safety net" to provide food to the next meal. But with plenty of food and little danger of starvation, teaching your body to burn stored fat is a great way to lose weight and stay fit and healthy.
I guess now we all know where it comes from fat. It is simply the result of eating more calories than we spend on maintaining the proper function of the body, and perform our daily tasks.
Changing the balance between how much we eat and we use, we can burn stored fat and keep your weight under control. But considering that not all fats are bad, it is also important to have a healthy balanced diet to make sure we get all the essential fatty acids and nutrients that our body needs.
As regards the diet, will be minimized foods rich in carbohydrates, while there maximize protein foods. Protein gives you the strength you need, while carbohydrate gives energy. The problem with carbohydrates is that when not in use, these are converted into stored fat.
Some carbohydrates are also essential, but we must choose complex carbohydrates rather than simple, as this will help keep the potential daily production of lower fat, thus helping to burn stored fat instead.
The other important things about training your body to burn stored fat is regular exercise, and the body's metabolic rate. The metabolic rate is the level at which your body burns fat at rest. The higher you can get your metabolic rate, the faster it burns fat. The way to get the higher metabolic rate, is through regular exercise.
However, exercise does not have to be stressful. If you're just looking to lose weight then regular aerobic exercise is smooth enough. Aerobic or cardio exercise is one that stimulates the heart and lungs and makes them work a little harder.
What is truly impressive about aerobic exercise is that it increases the body's metabolic rate, even while you're asleep, so your body will be training to burn stored fat effectively. How cool is that?
